Who Killed Biggie Smalls?
The "Who Killed Biggie Smalls" video takes a critical look at all of the key players such as friends, family, Biggie's label, and security detail in Los Angeles.
Who killed Biggie Smalls? The question isn’t “Who killed Biggie, but who didn’t kill Biggie?”
Who killed Biggie Smalls? The question isn’t “Who killed Biggie, but who didn’t kill Biggie?” Advising Biggie to go to L.A. is like Yehoram Goan moon walking down a Karachi street while singing a rendition of Blondie’s song, “One way or another I’m gonna find ya, I gonna get ya” without getting a Markhor antler shoved up his ass as Prime Minister Gillani watches curbside.
Biggie’s 1994 cd “Ready to Die” foreshadowed his insolvent marriage (like there’s any other kind), troubles with Tupac, Tupac’s death, and Biggie’s own demise. Biggie and Tupac’s obituaries were proverbially written in the cosmos just like those of Jimi Hendrix, Janus Joplin, Jim Morrison, and Kurt Cobain. Famous, yet unstable entertainers are digested and regurgitated by the record industry. Kurt Cobain had attempted suicide approximately 48 hours prior to a gig that was still permitted to go on. Where was Kurt’s label, his friends, band mates, managers, his family, and especially his opportunistic wife, who seemed to blossom after his death.
Interestingly enough Tupac and Biggie’s deaths underscore that the music industry is just as radioactive as politics, financial markets, and foreign affairs – Those unlucky souls who bought into the glory of being on the frontlines tend to have short life spans, while the bureaucrats get rich, even wealthy. If you have to ask who are the bureaucrats who command music entertainment and the rap genre, please stop reading this article, and stand-up because your brain is suffocating.
Biggie’s 1997 cd, “Life after Death” should have been labeled “Fucked after death” because he never got to enjoy the spoils of his talents – everyone else did! Furthermore, what happened to the monies from his big contract with Bad Boy Entertainment, Biggie’s “Brooklyn Mint” clothing line, and the $43.0M from the Biggie biopic film?
“Ready to Die” and “Suicidal Thoughts” were not born out of paranoia, but realistic thoughts of imminent danger despite Biggie’s new security detail. Clearly Biggie’s subconscious was trying to communicate to him that he in fact had absolutely no faith in his entire support system! Biggie’s life had been threatened if he traveled to L.A., so why wasn’t his vehicle bullet proof! Biggie was worth tens of millions when he died, and possibly greater than $100.0M in future earnings. An armored proof vehicle with a proper security detail made-up of ex-military member for two days would have cost less than $10.0K.
There are only two final questions to ask:
Who killed Biggie Smalls? Everyone!
Who benefitted from Biggie’s Smalls death? Everyone!
Biggie’s fears of being “Broke and Depressed” came true – All dead people are broke and all dead people are depressed because of the loved ones left behind, unfulfilled dreams, and things left unsaid. At least in death he was finally able to discover who his real people were and who the opportunists were.
